Waldo, the iconic children’s book character, is coming to Edmonds again this July to help spread the “Buy Local” message. Edmonds Bookshop will be hosting Find Waldo Local, an exciting month-long scavenger hunt to find Waldo in local businesses July 1st-30th, 2026.
There are over 50 local businesses and organizations joining in the fun! They are all within walking distance of Edmonds Bookshop and have at least some weekend hours so Waldo hunters can find him whenever they are out and about.
Passports have been printed by The Greene Team at Coldwell Banker and Bain, and can be picked up at Edmonds Bookshop or any of the participating locations starting on July 1st.
Throughout the month there will be prizes awarded to the players who find at least 25 Waldos, and on Friday, July 31st at 11:00 am, there will be a Waldo finale party at Edmonds Bookshop. Local businesses are donating prizes that will be raffled off and the grand prize winner will be drawn. All players who have at least 45 stamps on their passports are eligible to enter to win a set of Waldo books.
